No two pair of Featherwood earrings are ever alike. These lightweight, beautifully crafted earrings have surgical steel earwires. They make a most unique gift.
These pixel style earrings have a similar process to make however in much finer detail. 1mm slices are cut from laminations and glued together to create a mosaic effect featuring over 1,000 individual color facets per square inch. Reverse side is the same solid color as the bezeled edges. I makethese in very small editions whose pairs are essentially the same and the edition is one of a kind.
Buzz Coren has created function and decorative objects in wood since 1980 when it got out of hand as a hobby. He makes Featherwood jewelry from laminated dyed and natural hardwood veneer. He cuts earrings from a large block about 275 layers thick. He personally dyes most of the veneers and each pair is one-of-a-kind. He works and lives with his family in a mountain valley in western North Carolina.
