Each pair is made with fine silver wire that is shaped and fused together with a torch before hammering to complete the look. Fine silver is 99.99% pure silver and is therefore softer than sterling silver. Hammering fine silver work hardens it to make these earrings delicate looking but strong enough to enjoy daily wear. Fine silver doesn't tarnish like sterling silver. Sterling silver is 92.5% fine silver and the remainder is copper and alloys for hardness and durability. This difference also lead sterling silver to tarnish, where fine silver doesn't.
To care for your fine silver jewelry, polish gently with a polishing cloth to restore shine. As with all fine jewelry, do not swim in pools, hot tubs, or bath while wearing your jewelry as chlorine, salt, and other chemicals tear away at your jewelry's natural shine and luster.
